Here’s a no pickguard clear pine tele body with distinctly wavy grain structure underneath a purple-like lavender surface with an broad array of color hues. This vintage-style telecaster, with no exposed wire channel between neck pup and control plate (so you can go with or without pick guard), was custom ordered for staining/coloring by "Guitars by Buren" from Tonebomb Guitar Parts in Calgary, Canada, the gateway to the North-American Rockies.
This “transparent"
lavender color is designed to display and enhance pine grain. After color
application, this particular body was finished off with one solid protective
coat of Danish Oil rendering a pretty flat, natural, almost bare-wood-like feel.
Not shiny, not sticky! (If you want, you can add additional coats per your
preference for more shine, but you certainly don’t have to!)
She weights in at a very light 3 lbs. and 12.5 oz. which equates to an
assembled tele at about 6.5 lbs. – nice! Suitable for standard tele replacement
parts - compare Allparts, Musikraft, MJT, USACG, Warmoth.
DISCLAIMER: Pine is a very light
& resonant but also quite soft wood. Minor nicks, dings and scratches are almost
guaranteed – even for new bodies – and are part of their rustic charm! If you
feel differently, don’t buy pine!
