This is an acoustic square-neck lap or Hawaiian guitar, played with a steel slide. FNIAA was one of several companies that sold instruments through a lesson subscription plan. While there is no label on this guitar, it is identical to others from that company (the sparkly dots are a dead giveaway). Probably made by Regal or another Chicago builder in the '30s. Birch body, rosewood fingerboard, 24-1/8" scale, measures 37" x 13" x 3-5/8". All original with replacement vintage Kluson Deluxe tuners, new nut & strings, small cleated top crack, chipboard case. Very good condition, plays and sounds great.
