1960 Ampeg Jupiter II 720SN Guitar/Accordion Amplifier
This is a very nice surviving 57 year old Ampeg amplifier.
Back in it's day, it was mainly marketed as an accordion amp - but it sounds great for guitar - very clean and warm sounding - and it works great with pedals.
This is a hand wired two channel combo with (two separate preamps - which can be used in stereo) and and a separate power section (with a chrome chassis). The power is conservatively rated at 20 watts.
The two 12 inch speakers are the original Jensen P12R's. The original handle has long ago lost it's tolex and padding and the bare metal is now covered with padding and electrical tape.
I recently had it checked out by my tech - he replaced one bad preamp tube, cleaned and re-tensioned the pots and tube sockets and converted it to a three prong power cord. The Vibrato is not working - my tech was not sure how to fix it, and I use a tremolo pedal anyway - so he didn't bother with it. He did advise me that the amp and most of it's components (including the green labeled Sylvania tubes) are original - it sounds great now - but due to the age, it is being sold as is without warranty.
One of the photos shows a Telecaster guitar (not included) leaning on the amp for scale - also, I posted an image from Ampeg's 1960 catalog that I found on the internet.
Thank you for looking and please let me know if you have any questions.
