Fender Musicmaster Bass with a chipboard case as pictured. USA made in 1976 according to Fender dating page. Our SA#1095.

This is a medium scale Fender bass. Black finish may not be original. Neck is maple, fingerboard rosewood. Neck is in excellent shape. No wear to frets. Plays great. The body has some dings and two little holes where some scholar deemed a need for extra strap buttons. (Never know when you may need that additional strap.) We did not fill them, but have left the guitar au natural as we got it. You can, however easily fill the little holes with wood filings and a bit of glue and black sharpie marker.

The best features of this Bass guitar is absolutely how it plays and how comfortable it is to hold. I could hold and play this one for four sets and not be burned out. It’s so very comfortable and easy on the fingers. I love it, but I have way too many guitars.

If you are going to play out with this Bass buy yourself a well padded gig bag or hard case. The old chipboard cases are kitschy but nothing but cardboard and offer scant protection. Don’t worry about packing though we pack for our guitars to make it in one piece to the moon.

Bass has been setup and adjusted in our shop with fresh Rotosound med scale AS66M stainless steel roundwound  strings, gauges 40, 50, 75, 90 and plays like a dream!
