With its backs and sides sporting an attractive honey-amber tint, Cordoba’s Luthier Series GK Pro is a hybrid classical/electric guitar sporting a single-cutaway thinbody design and a nut-width narrower than standard classical models. These features promote playability, especially across high frets. Complementing its solid European spruce top, the GK Pro boasts a solid Spanish cypress back and sides for a snappy, percussive tone suitable for flamenco music. An Indian rosewood bridge anchors strings to the body. Throughout the instrument you’ll find many flourishes pleasing to the eye, including Indian rosewood binding, a pearloid rosette inspired by a 1920s Esteso design, 6-ply colored-wood top purfling, and 3-ply maple and ebony purfling throughout the back and sides of the guitar. A mahogany neck provides a 25.6” scale, an ebony fingerboard, and 19 frets. To ensure that the neck stays straight, the neck’s 4mm truss rod has been made easily accessible. A bone nut is employed to bolster sustain and resonance on open strings. At the headstock, you’ll find Cordoba Premium Gold Tuning Machines with black, ebony-style buttons.
