This is a rare bass from the Matsumoko factories made during the 1960s. It's a cool short-scale bass that feels great for its age. I have had it for a couple years and have restored it to perfect playing condition. Note the tailpiece still attached, a very rare find in these models.
I replaced the pots, knobs, switch, and wiring and it now has that great Motown P-bass/Hofner thump. Palm muting or sticking foam under the bridge really brings out the vintage vibe.
The original hardware is included (the vintage knobs don't fit modern pots) as well as the gig bag I received it in. It currently has Labella black nylon strings for an almost upright bass tone! Includes gig bag.
