About This Listing

1963 MARTIN 0-18 Plays and sounds incredible. Super warm tone. code AC39

A wonderful example of a 1963 Martin 0-18. Gorgeous little guitar with outstanding tone and volume from such a small box. This 50-year old guitar is crack-free. It features hide-glue construction, tortoise bindings and pickguard. Original frets very nice neck it's plays beautifully. There are a few dings and scratches here and there from normal use but overall, fine condition. The mahogany on this Martin is good quality, straight-grained, and even in looks. As a '63 it has a tonal response similar to late-50s Martin 0-18s with more of that 60s "scoop" to the midrange. This makes it a terribly-nice fingerpicker or chordal strumme. solid mahogany for the back, sides, and neck, a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with a flatter radius, soft-V/more-C light-to-medium neck shape and depth, a 1 11/16" nut width, and short 24.9" scale length. The original Grover tuners work great.
