Today Lawman Guitars is Proudly Presenting..

A really cool 1970’s Made in Japan, Montano Model F190, Folk Guitar by Takamine. It’s a Made in Japan Concert Size Acoustic Guitar with the original Soft Shell Case…What a beautiful guitar and it plays great.

Be sure to check out the video demo we did for this cool guitar!

These guitars have very little info regarding them. I would venture to guess that Takamine only had these made up for a USA Dealer to sell. I have only seen a few of these and all are very high quality guitars; like Takamine Guitars

Here is some info on Takamine Guitars…

Takamine Co., Ltd is a Japanese Private Limited Guitar manufacturer company. It was started in the year 1962 with its head office located in Nakatsugawa, Gifu, Japan. They have over 40 years of history of innovation in the art and craft of guitars. Originally, the company started as a small family business and later evolves into one of the leading guitar manufacturer all over the world.

It is owned by Takamine Gakki Co. Ltd. It is one of the first company to introduce acoustic electric models in guitars.  They also offer warranty on its products and they are designed with rich heritage of craftsmanships. Acoustic Guitars, Acoustic-Electric Guitars are the various types of products designed and supplied  by the company.

This Montano guitar is a concert size…it has a 14 ½ inch lower bout, 25 ¼ inch neck measured to the zero fret. The nut measures 1 ¾… Finger pickers will love this one. It is called the Folk Model for all these reasons. Low finger playing action makes this guitar a pleasure to play…No sore fingers with this one!

The guitar is just beautiful. All solid woods. Looks like Spruce on the top and Rosewood back and sides. I know there is some exotic woods that look like Rosewood. This may have that, but the woods are beautiful whatever they are…Check those pics!

The bridge is solid to the body..No lifting apparent. The bridge has pulled the top up slightly behind the bridge but has not affected the neck angle... I love the cool sweeping shape of the bridge and it has wood bridge pins…nice touch… The neck has not been reset nor does it need it. Again, the string angle is perfect and the strings are as low to the fretboard .. Original cool wood look Pickguard and nut, as well as Tuners. New set of 12 guage Phosphorus Bronze strings and and complete setup and clean up... The full body bindings have yellowed to a really cool looking cream color. This is a really cool guitar!

Just superficial dings and scratches to this guitar. After all, its vintage! Its just beautiful and very light weight. It only weighs 4 lbs.

The original Soft Shell case is as nice as the guitar. All latches, hinges and original handle are present as is the accessory box inside..Very nice case for your new vintage guitar!

Its beautiful but vintage and used so its sold as-is no returns.. however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for them for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found them. This beautiful Montano by Takamine is certainly not going to be an exception.

Thanks for checking out our cool guitars.
