This is a Yanagisawa alto saxophone made in 1978. It appears to have been barely played. All original pads and corks and it plays beautifully.
At the time, Yanagisawa was trying to establish their brand in the US and the distributor owned the rights to the Martin name. So they put Martin on these saxes. The Martin company had gone out of business along with all of the other US saxophone makers.
So this is a Yanagisawa, not a Martin. Comes in the original case, which is very stout.
Look at all of the photos to see the condition of this very nice saxophone. Photo 5 shows the only area where I found previous damage from some kind of bump. This was repaired already.
This saxophone is over fourty years old and in terrific condition. Due to its age, the sale must be AS IS.
