About This Listing

This listing is for an extremely rare early 80s black G&L L1000 with an ebony fretboard and a hardshell case. According to my digital bathroom scale it is ~8.7lbs. That is lightweight for an old G&L.

The bass plays and sounds great, the early 80s L1000 pickups are HUGE sounding. Over the years it has picked up some aesthetic wear. There is some finish wear on the headstock that is pictured I've examined the finish with a blacklight and it appears to be original (or at least very old), but there are some strange green colorations that can be viewed under some of the finish chips. I have no idea what that implies, it doesn't appear to be a refinish, but who knows I'm not an expert.

The small sticker has been removed.
