About This Listing

Up for sale is my 1980 Guild D25 in the rare sunburst finish. Excellent USA made vintage acoustic guitar. It's loud and boomy with a clear tone, and it's almost impossible to overpower. Action is low and very playable. It's the kind of guitar that's always in tune when you open the case. It definitely shows signs of wear, with scratches, scuffs, and checking in the finish. Everything is aesthetic and there are no cracks or repaired cracks to my knowledge. I bought it from Willie's in St. Paul about 10 years ago and at that time they re-glued the bridge as part of setting it up for sale. I tried to get a picture of the checking which is really cool on the top.

Includes an LR Baggs Lyric pickup, which is actually pretty much a condenser mic inside the guitar under the bridge. Sounds excellent and really authentic when plugged in, one of the best plugged in sounds i've heard for an acoustic. Also included is a hardshell case which i don't believe is original, but it fits the guitar perfectly. The case is a bit tattered but functions as it should, no broken latches or handle.
