For sale is a Kay Truetone Double Pickup Bass with hardshell case that came from the original Wilco Loft Sale on Reverb back in December 2015 and formerly belonging to Jeff Tweedy. Beautiful tobacco sunburst finish from 1968, according to the original listing. I'm not really a bass player, but liked the thump on this one and the speed bump pickups on this are desirable. Has honest wear and tear. The thumb rest and truss rod cover are obviously gone. What is there was said to be all original in the initial Loft sale listing, except for the jack and its wire leads. Those were replaced and the originals are included in the case, along with the CoA from the Reverb Loft sale signed by Jeff. The original sale warned that the neck of the bass has a very slight warp to the top side but still played fine. I didn't play it much, but me and someone else who did use it to record had no issues with it. I've tried to include some photos of the neck shape and relief to illustrate, but it plays fine to me. Frets are good and it tunes up nicely. Case is a little beat up and tattered. The cab in the background of some of these listing photos is obviously not included.
Also posting a guitar for sale from Nels Cline in a separate listing.
