A really cool 1960 Fender Musicmaster Guitar!
Is this guitar all original? No...was it refin'd? ...Yes! However, when you read all this old guy has been thru, you will love it like we do!

It has a 1960 Date on the base of the neck...See pic 10... No dates on the body... the body was refin'd Shell Pink by an amateur but not a bad job...We had rubbed it out and hit it with the buffer and it came out nice and shiny...However, under the pink is the original Sonic Blue original coat and was resprayed factory Dakota Red... they did that for a special order in the factory. Just shot another coat over the existing...
From there, it has 4 original tuners, two newer replacements, original pickguard but rewired with a cool Mojowerks Pickup that sounds outstanding. Original Tailpiece plate but replaced string saddles, springs and screws... Replaced knobs we had around the shop. Original strap buttons but replacement neck plate. The neck was refretted so the frets are in outstanding shape. Original nut and various replaced screws with originals here and there.
Very cool guitar that looks awesome. Sounds great and plays incredible. We had our Techs set it up with awesome low playing action. They also added the upgraded wiring harness...
The pickup that came with it was not original. It was, however needing a rewind so we had our friends at Mojowerks rewind and upgrade the pickup to one that sounds better than original.
Musicmaster guitars have a 22 1/2 inch short scale neck with a 1 1/2 inch nut. These short scale student sized guitars are a blast to play and sound awesome.
What is all original is the Hard Shell Case! Check it out...its in great shape for its age. These cool old Fender cases are bringing up to $500 now and this guitar has its original included! All the latches are here but the middle works only occasionally. The hinges are here, the original handle is here and the interior is in great shape. Check those pics. An awesome original case for your cool Musicmaster.
This guitar is awesome but vintage and used so its sold as is no returns. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found them. This cool Fender will certainly not be an exception...
