This guitar appears to be completely original without excepetion.  There are NO repairs we have found to note.  The entire guitars finish was properly checked and there are no signs of refinishing, or over spray.

Condition Description

This Vintage Gibson Tenor is a great playing and sounding guitar.  It does have some very minor scratch's, dings, marks, light checking here and there, but way better than you would expect of a almost 60 year old vintage guitar.  This guitar is in much better condition than any that I have owned or viewed.  Take a look at all of the pics to see.

The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with minimal wear, but could use to be polished and plays great as is (see pics).  Current string height is 1/8" at the body, with plenty of saddle room (see pics).  There is NO actual buckle rash to speak of, and the finish is very nice overall.  The original tuners are in excellent shape. The back of the neck and headstock are also in great condition with very few minor marks (see pics).  The top is nice, flat, and the bridge is tight.  My pics are very descriptive, so scroll down to see them all!

If your a player or collector, this Gibson Tenor will make a great addition!   Its just a great playing/sounding guitar.  Although, I think its set up great, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility to have it set up to your liking.  Currently strung with nylons as the previous owner requested.

The Vintage Gibson Gator Chip Board Case is in good condition for its age (see pics).   All hinges, latches and handle operate as they should.  The interior door is there, but not attached, and the Gibson badge is long gone (see pics).  The case does show wear from age and use, but is a very nice and solid case!
