Wiring a project bass or upgrading a new one? Here's a kit of premium quality upgrade parts, including some you won't find anywhere else. Includes two Genuine CTS 450 Series 250K solid shaft 10% audio taper volume and tone control pots extra long brass mounting bushings, two way cool heavy knurled bright chrome control knobs, premium .047uF SBE 716P Orange Drop tone capacitor, Mil. Spec. Genuine Switchcraft input jack and six feet of black and white Kimber Teflon insulated ultra pure copper hookup wire and a good ground lug. This kit of parts fits most old and new Genuine Fender USA Precision Bass exactly. If you've got an import Fender Precision Bass or a P-Bass shaped object made by another manufacturer some modification to your instrument may be required, especially to the potentiometer mounting holes. See the Fender Instrument Service Diagrams pages of Fender's web site for many excellent Precision Bass wiring pictorials (USA Vintage Series etc.). Please note that the threaded brass mounting bushing on the 450Gs measures .390". This is a bit longer than the bushing found on a stock P-Bass so if you want to mount these pots to a Fender style plastic pickguard or metal control plate you'll need to thread on one of the hex nuts until you get just the amount of thread you need showing above the top surface. The 'extra' bushing length may be just what you need if you're mounting the pots through a wooden body on a custom bass.
