1999 Sheldon Schwartz Advanced Auditorium Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar

Up for sale is this 1999 Sheldon Schwartz Advanced Auditorium. It features: 

• Indian rosewood back/sides
• Bearclaw Sitka spruce top
• 16" lower bout
• Ebony bridge and fretboard
• Rosewood headplate
• Rosewood binding
• Schaller tuners
• 1 and 25/32" nut, 25.5" scale

Here's a fantastic fingerstyle guitar from world-renowned luthier Sheldon Schwartz. He has knocked the collective guitar world on its butt with his non-traditional Oracle model, but his Advanced Auditorium is no slouch, either. This guitar has a huge, open voice that makes the last guitar you played seem like there are socks in the soundhole. It's extremely alive and responsive. Beautiful bear claw Sitka top, too. Comes with original hardshell case. 

Cosmetically, this guitar is in good condition. There's a half-inch finish check on the top, pictured, and a 3 or 4 inch check on the side, also pictured. Both are minor and you have to look very hard to spot them. A couple of dings in the binding, with one pictured. It's been lovingly played for 15 years, but not abused. This guitar would be $8800 new, and Sheldon currently has a 12-month waiting list, so the price is very reasonable considering the wear.
