Up for sale, a 2000 Gibson ES-135 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Boasting a bevy of premium upgrades, this guitar features a Bare Knuckle P-90 in the bridge position, a professional stoptail conversion, Kluson locking tuners, and a custom Riggio Custom Guitars relic'd nitro lacquer gloss finish. A bit brighter than Gibson's Heather Mist, this exceptionally well executed lacquer finish represents the opaque pink seen on the edges of a Paisley Telecaster.

Essentially a hybrid of an ES-335 and an ES-175, this unique Gibson model boasts a thinline semihollow body, with a maple center block to improve note attack and reduce feedback. The result is a guitar that has the good looks of an ES-175 and the enduring popularity of the 335's tonal palette and slender body depth. Outfitted with the original '57 Classic PAF in the neck position and the Bare Knuckles humbucker-sized P-90 at the bridge, this ES-135 delivers plenty of bite, growl, and harmonic richness in the bridge position, contrasting nicely with the girth and warmth of the neck pickup, that sounds big while still clear and focused. Well-balanced on a strap and weighing 8lbs, this ES-135 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, with 10-46 strings, low action, and solid intonation.

The three-piece maple neck has a medium C profile carve at the nut with round shoulders in every register and more heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard retains the original tall, slender fretwire which has ample height and crown, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly in every register. The scale length measures 24 3/4", and the nut is a full 1 11/16" in width. The headstock face has a vertical script ES-135 silkscreen and gold Gibson logo. The upgraded Kluson locking tuning machines feature gleaming plating and transparent keystone buttons, offering unparalleled tuning stability.

All of the electronics work as they should, with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup wired to a three-way pickup selector toggle. The nickel Nashville bridge is paired with a matching stopbar, and plastic parts include a quartet of aged black speed knobs and the original pickguard. The clean Gibson label with handwritten serial and model info is also visible through the bass side F hole and matches the serial number imprinted into the headstock.

The gloss nitro lacquer finish is stunningly clean, shot over the original black nitro for a "double finish" look. This opaque pink gloss was both shot and relic'd by Riggio Custom Guitars, complete with simulated wear including broad lacquer checking, faux forearm wear and a few strategically placed nicks and minor marks.

A Gibson USA brown tolex hardshell case is included.
