Overview
The Orange OR-120 was produced starting in 1972 and lasted until Orange closed up shop in 1981. This head (which was originally coupled with a 4 x 12 cabinet) remains one of the more iconic Orange amplifiers, and represents everything players want in a vintage Orange head. Originally, these amps had no lettering on the front control panel, earning them the nickname "Pics Only." Variations for OR-120s in this era include the integration of a master volume circuit and the use of either a metal or plexiglass face-plate.
The Pics Only version of this amp ceased production in 1973. These are the most sought-after OR-120s.
Years of Production: 1972 - 1981
Electronics: 120 watts, 4/8/16 ohms, 4 x EL34 power tubes
Controls: F.A.C, EQ, H.F Drive, Gain
Notable Orange Players: Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page, Kevin Shields, Omar Rodriguez Lopez
