The Alesis QS7™ 64 Voice Expandable Synthesizer is Alesis' all-around synthesis powerhouse for serious players and MIDI composers. It offers all the features and sounds of our powerful QS8 with a solid 76-note, semi-weighted keyboard. The QS7's 16MB sonic library of 640 programs and 500 mixes includes Alesis' incredibly realistic stereo grand piano sound as well as hundreds of strings, horns, winds, basses, vintage and cutting-edge synths, drum kits and much more. A full bank of GM compatible sounds is provided, and new sounds are always available using QCards or your own samples via our Sound Bridge importing software. Using its two card slots simultaneously, up to 32MB of sounds can be accessed at once. Controller tools on the QS7 include its keyboard with velocity, release velocity and aftertouch as well as four assignable real-time control sliders, a sustain pedal and two assignable pedal inputs, and pitch and mod wheels. Its built-in high-speed serial port makes it easy burn new samples to a sound card or to interface with a Mac or Windows computer without an expensive MIDI interface, while its ADAT Optical Digital output lets you make a digital connection straight to ADAT or dozens of other recording tools. The QS7 also includes a free CD-ROM with all the software you need to make a complete MIDI production workstation.
