E-mu Systems Proteus MPS Orchestral Expander Kit #9035

This is E-mu Kit #9035, the Orchestral Expander for the Proteus Master Performance System. It was distributed to E-mu service centers back in the day so customers could bring their Proteus MPS in for upgrades. This kit is reasonably complete: It has all the chips and manuals, along with the upgrade sticker (which may or may not still be sticky after decades in storage!). However, the two spare screws mentioned on the contents list have gone missing over the years.

All in all, it's a fascinating piece of ephemera, and a surefire way to get the authentic sounds being used for soundtracks and TV work in the early 90s!

Please note that this kit was only available to E-mu service centers. Installation requires some surface-mount soldering and may not be for the faint of heart.
