Up for sale, a 2014 Edwards by ESP Limited Model E-LP-100SD electric guitar in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag and factory paperwork. A rare instrument made under ESP's "Edwards" banner in Japan and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this guitar is an excellent, high-quality analog for a Les Paul Standard. The instrument boasts a traditional tonewood compliment including a solid mahogany body, highly figured bookmatched flame maple top, one-piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, ensuring a rich, powerful array of LP tones with singing sustain. Loaded with a pair of factory-installed USA-made Seymour Duncan humbuckers, the pickup pair includes an SH-1 '59 PAF in the neck position and an SH-4 "JB" at the bridge.

From traditional Les Paul richness and warmth to ripping drive and growl, this LP covers a ton of tonal ground. The SH-1 was designed in the spirit of the original PAF, with sweet singing sustain, wound to deliver full-sounding chords and midrange-forward attack. The SH-4 bridge pickup on the other hand is Duncan's original hot-rodded humbucker. The low end is full and powerful, the highs are crisp and detailed, and there’s an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords that translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when playing single notes or solos. The guitar weighs 9lbs 1oz, notably lightweight for an LP-style instrument, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The mahogany neck has a round and substantial '50s-style C shaped profile carve, measuring .880" deep at the 1st fret and an impressive 1.010" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard sports flared trapezoid inlay and pristine stock medium jumbo fretwire, playing well in all registers up the straight neck with a responsive, ideally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard has a 12” radius, and the guitar conforms to traditional Gibson spec with a 24 3/4" scale length and 1 11/16" nut width. The headstock is distinctive for retaining an "open book" shape, with gold silkscreen "Limited Model" text and Kluson-style single line tuners with lightly greened tulip buttons that turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should.

The electronics all function flawlessly, with Seymour Duncan humbuckers wired to a traditional LP control layout, featuring a three-way pickup selector toggle and individual Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup with full-size pots. The stock nickel ABR-1-style bridge, stoptail, and pickup covers show just a hint of patina, and the original plastic parts are notably clean, including the quartet of amber bonnet knobs. Edwards calls this finish Vintage Honeyburst, but in Gibson's burst pantheon it's more akin to a traditional Cherry Sunburst, highlighting tight bookmatched tiger maple figuring which extends evenly across the top. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint pick marks across the guard and a few light scuffs in the clear coat of the gloss on the back lower bout body edge. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.

The original ESP padded gigbag and factory paperwork is included.
