Martin Custom 15 1983 Natural

This is a Martin Custom 15 , the predecessor of the Martin HD -28V . Back in the day Martin had so many custom orders for this set of features that they finally made it a regular custom order model - later they made it the HD -28V . If you are looking for a pristine collectors grade closet queen example , this one is NOT it ...as they say , GOOD guitars get PLAYED - and this one has seen a lotta love , the finish is dull in places from contact , numerous scratches and a ding or two , 3 professionally repaired top cracks along with a couple of loose braces re-glued . It has a custom Pearl inlay on the last fret reading “LIBLIT “ - no doubt a proud ex owner - I also installed a custom dyed bone and abalone bridge pin set to match that beautiful aged top . She is set up in excellent playing condition with a deep V -neck and good action . The sound is all Martin , endless bottom with good mids and clear ringing high notes . If you’ve always wanted a HD-28V without the price of a new one and enjoy a beautiful naturally aged top (no “toner” here !) with plenty of “mojo” then this solid players piece might be the one for you !
