Don McGohan MG-10C, 2x 6v6 Tube Amplifier, 10 Watts, Restored by Acorn Amps, Big Rich Tone!

Waaaaaay richer tone than a blackface Princeton Reverb--period. This is a loud, rich toned vintage 50's Don McGohan PA head thoroughly gone through by the famed Acorn Amplifier in Atlanta. The mods only included replacement of a couple of caps, the addition of a grounded plug, and 1/4" jacks for input and 8 Ohm speaker output. The two channel volume knobs can be used to create overdrive, amazing growl--no exaggeration. The tube compliment is 2x 6v6, a 5Y3 rectifier, and 6SC7 and 6SN7 preamps. The tubes test strong and are all original to the amp. The issue with the finish is decades old, only in the finish, and affects nothing. I've used this amp for 16 years and it will fill a room with lush tube sound. The tubes will be wrapped separately and secured inside the amp cage. This thing gets great Chicago sound with either guitar or harp cause it was built in Chicago and is equal or better any Masco or Bogen of the same wattage. Remember, tube 10 watts will fill a room. It's a clean sound up to about 65% volume, then it's lush overdrive. Again, the two gain pots can drive each other to create some serious growl. I added the invoice showing the work Acorn did years ago--fantastic job! The amp measures 11 1/8" long × 7" wide x 6.5" tall. The amp chassis without the cover is 2 3/4" tall and the phenolic knobs stick out 3/4" from the amp.
