The Wash adds reverb to the signal and through a complicated network of internal feedback loops, subtle multi-head Binson effect, and what Hungry Robot  have coined "ripple effect," It works to add a hauntingly beautiful wash to your signal in ways that can't be accomplished by stacking a reverb and a delay in series. It does all of this while keeping the clarity and presence of your original signal without getting lost in the soup of decay.

The Wash reacts to your playing unlike the common DSP reverb/delays with an infinite sustain function.  There is a dynamic quality to it that is hard to replicate with any other single pedal.

  • RippleThe Ripple knob is unique. It transforms each successive delay repeat into reverb. This knob determines how fast that transformation is. Turn this down for more of the actual delay signal to come through the mix. Turn this up for more washy, ambient sounds.
  • ResonanceControls how long the “Wash” sits in the mix. Ideally you want this teetering on the brink of oscillation, but not to the point that it gets out of control. With the Resonance knob, more is not always better. It is highly interactive with the D.Feedback and Ripple knobs, so depending on where you have those knobs you can compensate the length of the decay with the Resonance knob.
  • Washcontrols the overall volume of the “Wash.” Similar to the Resonance knob, more is not always better. It has the ability to be as loud as your dry signal. I personally like it to be a bit quieter than the dry signal, so it sits nicely underneath your dry signal.
