JD Guitars 2021 OctaveBass-1 Natural/Poly

If you’re taking a closer look at this build, you probably know what it is and what it can do. (If not, plenty of YouTube videos). Some would say the tuning makes it a “high-strung” bass. Others may say “Nashville tuning”. I call it an “Octave Bass”. It’s a 17” scale instrument, essentially half that of traditional full-scale basses. The EADG tuning is pitched just like a regular guitar. What you get is the feel and string spacing familiar to bass players but only from the twelfth fret and higher. The bound body is Ash with a drop-top of Padauk and roasted maple with amazing figure. The Curly maple neck has a bound Ebony fretboard with abalone inlay and side-markers. String-through design for added sustain. EMG humbucker (passive,no battery) provides a variety of useful tones. Great on its own or for doubling bass parts, and as you might have guessed , absolutely killer through an octave pedal. Message me with any questions.  Ships with gigbag.
