Noise Space Audio Klone. There is no need to explain what this pedal is inspired by.

What’s so special about our take on a Klon Centaur compared to other Klone?

1. NOS USSR Д9Е diodes. Some say that these are the ones used in the original Klon.

2. Electrolytic capacitors in audio path are replaced with high quality film capacitors and audio-grade electrolytic capacitors.

3. Three position low frequency switch

4. Two position gain mode switch.

So what’s about those switches on the Klone?

They are all about the gain knob and it’s core functionality.

Every single clone of Klon and Klon itself has got a dual gain knob.

One part controls the amount of clean sound - when it’s all the way down you get (somewhere) tailored clean sounds.

And while you turn the gain knob clockwise the op-amp starts to distort, the clean part of the scheme gets attenuated and those magic germanium diodes come to play.

But if one would like to have a low-gain klon sound but without a great amount of clean tone?

And there is where the toggle closer to gain knob shines at it’s best.

Flipping it up you get much less gain than in stock mode.

In the manual we call the up position “Sparkle Boost”.

It’s aimed to get a bit of saturation and harmonics so you can add a little bit of spice to your clean tone or just push an amp into breakup.

And what’s about the switch on the left of the pedal, the one closer to the output knob?

That switch is for low frequencies of distorted sound.

Up for lesser lows.

Middle for stock amount.

Down for more lows.

You’ll get most use of it when cranking the gain knob past noon.

If you have a thinner-sounding guitar you may find some better sounds with the switch put into down position.

And if you want to take out some of the mud from distortion while using some fatter guitars - just switch it up.

All other controls are pretty standard for klon-esque pedals.

Power supply is 9V DC with center negative, 100mA.

Bright red led under a fancy lens.
