Do you really need more than one Pickup?
I have Three Pickups on my Guitar, but the only one that I ever use is the Bridge Humbucker.
As for a Tone Knob: Mine is set at Full Blast, and I never Touch it....You get much better control over Tone from your Amplifier's Controls
