the 1989 Kramer Glide / Grace series are some of the finest Kramers have ever made. There is so much quality in these guitars for $ $ that if you bought a guitar with similar specs (ESP Horizon) today, you would pay a lot more. The Glide / Grace series are always controversial outside of Japan. The difference between Glide and Grace is that Grace is an Archtop model. There were quite a few American companies at that time. Kramer, Jackson / Charvel, Washburn, Dean, et al. Moved most of their production to Japan, but still retained the "Made in USA" image, so rear panels, additional decals or model names were added. Rear panels were added with the company address in the USA (they DO NOT say made in the USA) or, in the case of the Kramer "American" series, which included their top model Stagemaster, an additional decal was added that said "American", even today it confuses people. Since 1985, ESP has supplied almost everything for Kramer, they were either built and assembled in Japan or built in Japan and assembled in the USA. In Japan, there were almost the same models, plus the original Japan-only models, just a different name and / or electricity. The C-1 is in perfect playable condition, it sounds and performs amazingly, the frets are very clean and still have a solid headroom, it was not in perfect condition and a lot of work has been done on it to enjoy it over 30 years later! The previous owner made some adjustments that are not so noticeable, but our task was to bring the guitar to the state in which it was originally conceived by the ESP masters. The Internet only remembers the guitars of this series, and this model was not even announced in the promo of this series in the 89th. For a guitar that is over 30 years old, it is really good and plays fantastic. Quality for $! It's a shame Kramer doesn't make these guitars anymore. At one time, an amazing innovative company, it's sad that they bit off more than they could chew. Now you have the opportunity to purchase a guitar in stunning color and the highest quality that few have seen. It is a pity that there will never be such guitars again. Specifications: body - alder, neck - three pieces of maple (middle rotated 180 ° to increase rigidity) with ebony fingerboard. Wide frers (3 mm), Original Floyd Rose Tremolo. The original pickup has not survived to this day, but we found a great alternative in the form of a boutique pickup from one of our manufacturers (16.6 kOhm).
