About This Listing

This guitar has been played. Judging from the fingerboard wear, I would guess it’s on its 3rd set of frets. Guitars are made to be played- all that vibration gives the wood some kind of magic mojo. There are many small nicks and handling marks but nothing that stands out as noteworthy. The pickguard has been replaced but not before starting a slight surface-only pickguard crack. This guitar with all its use and travels has no through cracks. The nitro finish is crazed from many trips in and out of the cold giving a road-worn aura worthy of a decades-old soldier. The neck is super straight and retains its original joint with low action. The strings resonate between a custom-crafted bone saddle by Steve Morrill and a bone nut. It appears the tuners were replaced with a late 80s version. The shoulder/block mounted ebony strap pin helps the guitar hang comfortably. There is nothing like the sound of a vintage Martin dreadnought.

Professional inspection and setup by Steve Morrill. This guitar is 100% ready for your next gig or basement 70s revival. Includes original case and an LR Baggs Element under-saddle transducer pickup.

Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. 1.69" nut.
