Fender USA Highway one TEXAS Telecaster 2003 Seafoam Green

For Sale here is a hard to find 2003 Fender highway one Texas Telecaster. (If you check the telecaster boards , you will find these to be rare, and much loved by those in the know). These were a limited release that had some interesting specs. 52 Reissue ASH body, vintage tuners and hardware. The coolest feature was the neck, with a flat 12” radius and jumbo frets, it’s like a 52 reissue with modern playability. This one was originally 2 tone sunburst as shown in one of the photos, but has a custom seafoam green thin nitrocellulose finish OVER the 2 tone sunburst done by CHC custom guitars in Austin TX. As the Seafoam green wears with Play, the two tone sunburst underneath will be revealed (sort of like those $4000 custom shop Strats and Teles). It has a few little nicks and dings I’ve tried to capture the noticeable ones. The pickups are Pretty hot (17 K bridge, 9K Neck), but still have a good classic rock sound to them, this Tele is more ZZ Top than classic Country! Stock 3 Way switch and CTS 250 K pots ( the original volume pot was scratchy so I just replaced them both while I was in there.). The jumbo frets were more like Medium Jumbo, not the giant frets the standard Highway ones came with. These were also a 21 fret neck vs the 22 frets found on the standard highway ones. The neck has a nice fast satin finish vs the sticky gloss on the newer American maple board Teles. Comes with a nice padded Fender gig bag. Check my feedback and bid with confidence!!!!
