For sale is a completely original 2001 Ibanez Destroyer DTX120 guitar in a metal flake, candy apple red finish. This guitar is beautiful, well crafted and in fantastic condition. The original owner bought it in 2001 to learn guitar, but rarely played it. It spent most of its life unused in a gig bag. One look at the beautiful sparkle finish shows this to be true. The Destroyer DTX120 screams "play me loud" when you hold it. The unique Destroyer shape is exciting but not overdone. It fits well on the leg when playing in a seated position if that's your thing. It was produced in Korea for three years (2001-2003) before being discontinued. This means that there were relatively few of these models released. This 20 year old guitar is hard to find today and has good potential to become increasingly collectible. This guitar is fun to play and it looks stunning as it is being held. It's definitely a conversation starter. The dual AXIS Humbucker pickups have a meaty yet delicate tone. The neck is blemish-free and FAST! The 3 way selector switch gives you a variety of tonal options. The DTX120 has a solid basswood body and a fast Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard. These are all quality woods which are found only on more expensive guitars these days! Purchase comes with a Schecter gig bag which is also in excellent condition. As always, FAAAAAST shipping.
Condition I strive to provide an accurate description of any guitar I sell as I expect the same courtesy when I purchase a guitar. I've listed the condition of this guitar as EXCELLENT as it is nearly flawless except for a few blemishes. The main cosmetic issue with this guitar is a few minor dings along the bottom. This was common with this style guitar because of its unique shape. The guitar is otherwise nearly flawless with a minor blemish or two elsewhere. Don't let that dissuade you, the excellent condition of this beautiful guitar will not disappoint you. Everything is original with no modifications on this 20 year old guitar. Electronics work fine. The neck is straight and un-blemished. Strings stay in tune. Fret wear is very minimal (see pics).
