If you're looking for a lower watt boutique combo, this is the one. Completely hand made by Randelli Amplification in Austin, TX.
One input and two completely separate (preamps, tone stacks, tubes, transformers, and speakers) Class A tube amps in the same chassis! The signal splits and goes into both amps at once to run in stereo. Excellent grab-and-go smaller amp that can get a wide range of sounds. 37 pounds and about the size of a Deluxe Reverb.
The Rude side is a class A EL-34 (can also run 6L6), ~10 Watt Marshall inspired amp with 2 gain stages, Treble, Mid, Bass tone stack, and Master Volume into a Weber ceramic speaker. You can dial in anything short of metal distortion and turn the Master down to bedroom levels (excellent master volume), but it also gets quite loud with the Master cranked.
The Mood side is a class A 6L6 (can also run 6V6) ~10 Watt Fender-inspired amp with Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, and Tremolo controls into a Weber alnico. The reverb is subtle compared to Fender reverb, it sounds like the Dr Z Maz 18 reverb to me. Tremolo is very dynamic and deep. It has the features of a Princeton Reverb, but is Class A like a Fender Champ, so it sounds more like a big Champ with a full tone stack, reverb, and tremolo.
The magic happens when you blend the volume levels of both amps together!
Just received a clean bill of health from The Amp Lab in Campbell, CA.
