About This Listing

Howell & Forsyth guitars are made by Joshua David Howell and David Forsyth Schooler in Campbell, California. This collaboration brings together over forty years of instrument making and woodworking experience. They offer both classical and steel stringed acoustic guitars.

The SO brings a modern take to the classical tradition. The body size looks like an OM, but it is actually a bit smaller and more round. The back and sides are made of rosewood with a Sitka spruce top. The details are subtle and stylish, like the ebony headstock overlay and rosewood binding with maple purfling. Another aspect that stands out is the ebony bridge with six individual bone saddles.

It has a small, compact size, but it delivers plenty of volume! The great clarity and a perfect balance between the deep low end and clear highs are impressive as well. This SO from 2007 is very clean and also in very good condition. It has a couple of traces and dings on the body and headstock, but still looks and sounds great! Includes the original hardshell case with TFOA passport.
