About This Listing

True story. This lady had a rig that had belonged to someone in her family that had played guitar in a band, in the 60's and 70's. He had a 1964 double mute Gretsch Country Gentleman, a Gibson GA-17RVT amp, a maestro FZ-1 fuzz, a Boomerang wah, used this 664 to mic his amp, and sang through a Shure 565 (also listed) Everything was in great shape, he took really good care of his gear, and the mics/pedals/cables traveled in an old plaid suitcase- the EV was wrapped in a towel. It could use a good polishing- remember how C2P0 cleaned up at the end of the movie? There you go. The 664 works great, cable is kind of stiff but functions perfectly- has a 1/4" on the mixer end, but can be wired for low Z, might be low Z now, just has a 1/4" jack on it.
An old friend referred to the 664 eons ago as "The Buchanan Hammer". He said they were so havy duty you could use one to hammer nails in the stage, then do the show with it. I loved that then, and love it now. We love this stuff, love the stories, it's not just a piece of gear, and this and the Shure have been on display since last fall. Time for a new home. Thanks for looking!
