The MXL 603S is a small diaphragm condenser mic that draws from many great sources to give you one compact, affordable package. Its transformerless FET electronics are based on the classic Schoeps circuit, with a cardioid capsule emulating the wide Neumann KK84 and an omnidirectional capsule that's multipurpose -- it can be used on a few of MXL's mics. The 603S has garnered many great comparisons, with its sound likened to that of the Oktava MC012. At such an affordable price, who can ask for more?
