About Breedlove Signature

A soft cutaway puts a unique visual spin on the Signature Concerto Copper CE, while putting every fret within finger's reach. It's a big guitar with a big sound, offering huge bottom end accentuated by the dry, fundamental warmth of African mahogany. With 16" of torrefied European spruce across its powerful, silky satin top, the Signature Concerto Copper CE defines its space in the mix or in the band. As a solo instrument, it anchors a singer's performance or sets a player's skills front and center. You will be heard-and you will hear the Breedlove difference-with your Signature Concerto Copper CE.

Features

Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.

Concerto Body Shape
Introducing the new Breedlove Concerto, a new guitar shape created to elicit more volume than a classic dreadnought, and more lush, complex tonal resonance in a comfortable body shape that feels just right. Loud, textured, and supremely satisfying.

Real Solid Tonewoods for Superior Sound
No Richlite or resin impregnated softwoods, no glue-heavy plywoods: just solid real tonewoods for real tone.

Natural Sound Electronics
New Breedlove Natural-Sound electronics with volume and tone controls, and easy battery replacement uses 2 x AAA batteries.

Torrefied European Spruce
As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. Torrefied European spruce graces the Artista, Performer and Signature Series in Breedlove's new Organic Collection of sustainably sourced, all solid wood guitars at revolutionary prices. Torrefaction, a thermal process that artificially ages the wood while also turning it more resilient, makes these instruments explode with vintage tone, singing like an old friend that's been played by a master for 30 years.

With the Organic Collection three years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected-each yielding many dozens of top sets-with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.

African Mahogany
Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments-like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.

Heavy Play Style
The Breedlove Play Style system was created to help you, the player, select your sound and playing style. Finding the most appropriate guitar to fit your sound requires finding not only the correct body shape, but the proper tonewood combinations to fit your style of play. Each Breedlove guitar is designed for a specific play style and sound, the Play Style systems assign a playing style icon to each instrument.

H | Heavier Play, Strumming: Historically, larger guitars are designed for bigger sound and stronger play. Breedlove can achieve this robust playing style on the guitar body shape that is most comfortable to the player.
