Pristine! I've conservatively listed this guitar as "Excellent", but it is as close to mint as possible. A little fading in the gold hardware, otherwise, perfect. Stored in 47-50% humidified room at all times. I am the original owner. Straight from my personal collection. I've babied this beauty for almost 7 years. This beautiful guitar sounds and plays incredibly. Square shoulder hybrid. The Koa compliments the Adirondack Spruce very well. Great balance and lots of volume. Currently strung with 12-53 D'addario XT strings. Perfect in every way. Gorgeous solid Red Adirondack Spruce top with solid book matched flamed Koa back and sides. Amazing inlay work on the back stripe, consisting of Blue Lapis and various woods. Very comfortable medium "C" Mahogany neck with Rosewood fretboard. Parallelogram mother of pearl inlays. Rosewood mustache bridge. Fully bound body, top and back. Hide glue construction and dove tail neck joint. Bound neck and head stock. Gold hardware. Grover tuning machines.  Factory L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup for stage performance or studio recording. 25.5" scale and 1.525" nut width.
Comes with black Gibson Custom Shop hard case, all paperwork, and certificate booklet. As clean and beautiful as you will find. No dings, repairs, or questions.

It's topped by a choice selection of Adirondack Red spruce, which gives you sparkle and extreme clarity to go with the bold and expressive sound of the koa body. Tonally, Adirondack is even more dynamic than Sitka spruce, with a higher volume ceiling, so you can hammer an Addie top and it'll speak ever louder without losing clarity. The Limited-Edition Hummingbird Recording Artist model also features a neck made of select mahogany, and a fingerboard of select rosewood. Hand-scalloped top bracing delivers exceptional tone

Another feature of the Limited-Edition Hummingbird Recording Artist is Gibson's weight-relieved hand-scalloped top bracing, which provides strength while allowing the top to vibrate with a piston-like action, which is another one of Gibson's secrets to exceptional tone. For over 100 years, the Gibson artisans have known the truth that the top of an instrument is not just a vibrating wall. Gibson carefully scallops and arches each top brace to focus the sound to the center of the guitar top. LR Baggs Element VTC electronics deliver incredible amplified sound

The Limited-Edition Hummingbird Recording Artist comes with LR Baggs's popular Element VTC Active Acoustic Pickup System, which features a low-profile undersaddle transducer that's proven more stable and durable than many standard ribbon-type pickups. Combined with an onboard preamplifier with an unobtrusive and removable volume control, mounted just inside the soundhole, the Element VTC is a tremendous performer. Its sleek and effective design removes unnecessary internal components to enhance the coupling between the pickup and the guitar and improve the sensitivity of the transducer for a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound with excellent dynamics and delicate high end. The Element VTC works with a standard 9V battery, which is housed inside the guitar in LR Baggs's new "Battery Bagg."

Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, for sound that improves with age

Gibson Montana uses nitrocellulose lacquer finish on all their acoustics for a reason. The lacquer finish is thinner than polyurethane, which allows the wood to vibrate more freely for better tone and projection. Also, since a lacquer finish is porous, it allows the wood to "breath." Thanks to the lacquer finish, as your Limited-Edition Hummingbird Recording Artist ages, its sound actually improves - just like the great violins of the 18th century (Stradivarius, Guanerius, etc.).
