Early 1960 saw a major transition of the Strat® from its original
1950s version. New features that year included a rosewood fingerboard,
three-ply “mint green” pickguard, 60 style oval “C” neck profile.
Further, it was the last year of the original “spaghetti” headstock
decal (“Fender® Stratocaster® with Synchronized Tremolo”) before the
addition of patent numbers.
For this recreation, we’ve added
several compelling player-centric features for greater tonal options and
a heightened playing experience. The journeyman thin lacquer finish on
the two-piece alder body imparts the look and feel of guitar that’s been
played for years. The tinted quartersawn maple neck has a 1960-style
oval “C” back shape, topped by a rosewood fingerboard with 6105 frets
and a modern 9.5” radius for comfortable feel when bending anywhere
along the neck. Other features include Custom Shop vintage-style
synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines. Includes deluxe
hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
