This is a "vintage" Gibson 496R neck position pickup that I removed from my 1992 Gibson Explorer back when I converted it to EMGs.
It is of the older, single hot wire (cloth shielded) with outer wire mesh casing (ground) design.
There are 10 inches of lead present, so plenty to work with.
Resistance measures 8.76 Ohms on the meter.
