About This Listing

This exquisite guitar is one of the last baritones built by Tsuneyuke Yamamoto before his retirement and relocation from California to Japan in 2019.  There's not really much to say -- Yamamoto-san was an absolute master builder and this is a glorious guitar.  I bought the instrument new from Stevie Coyle at Mighty Fine Guitars in Concord, CA, and I have been its only owner.  It's been treated as you would expect and is in mint condition.  I'm selling it only because of space constraints, age (mine, not the guitar's), and the need to begin downsizing the number of instruments I own.  (Please note that the label has an error -- the instrument does not use light gauge E-E strings, but rather can be strung with standard medium-gauge strings tuned D-D or, as shown, with baritone strings tuned either C-C or to B-B.  I have used only baritone strings and keep the instrument in B.)
