This guitar started it's life as a Yamaha HSS Strat copy. I hated the body but loved the neck and bridge.
So, I kept the parts I liked and built the rest of the guitar.
- Satin sanded neck
- Locking nut
- The body is sapele mahogany wings with a padauk center block, glued together with biscuit inserts and sealed with a dozen or so layers of West Systems Marine Grade Epoxy
- All plate covers and headstock vaniers are made of sapele and padauk
- Body contours for belly, leg, hand, and angled jack insert for a natural angle when tucking your cord through your strap
- Ibanez Boomerang strap button
- Harmonic Designs humbucker sized P-90 pickups with tortoise shell covers and wood rings
- Push-push polarity switch on bridge pickup volume
- 2 master tone knobs with different capacitors for an extreme range of high frequency tone shaping
- Bridge and master volume knobs to allow tone blending when both pickups are selected (extra fun when pickups are out of polarity)
- 3-way rotary pickup selector on bottom horn
This guitar is a chonky one. She is thicc and has curves is all the right places. The self designed wiring scheme in this guitar allows an extremely wide range of tones. It has tons of pickup options and is very heavy and solid with tons of sustain. It is the ultimate studio guitar with tone unobtainable with most mere mortal guitars.
Damage at the tip of headstock repaired and does not effect performance. Neck is straight and true.
