Kay 3/4 Upright String Bass
Model: M1
S#: 41910
Circa 1959
Possible project for a collapsible neck conversion.
Neck is broken off, it appears that someone has attempted to repair it before, it looks like there was a dowel installed. The white dots on the fingerboard are white stickers for finger markings, they will peel off easily.
Needs tuning machines, someone began to bush holes to use non-Kay tuning machines but stopped before they got real far.
Other than tuning machines it will need a bridge, tailpiece, and endpin. There is a soundpost inside, but it is not up, most likely it would be advantageous to have a new soundpost cut and fit.
