Vintage Flying V with Van Halen stripes and goldfoil pickups designer series Heavy Metal Baby 1980s Candy apple red

Here’s an old Flying V Made in Japan in the 80s. Back in the crazy days when you could sell any cruddy guitar by painting a couple Van Halen stripes on it. This thing was a basket case when I found it. The neck had been cracked off and it was covered with nasty black spray paint. Like a total chump I spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME stripping the paint, refinishing it and putting a new neck on it. All the electronics are brand new and work great. It’s now super solid but it shows quite a bit of “relic” wear.

Obviously I need to stop spending time on projects like these but I can not bear to let a foxy red Flying V end up on the scrap pile. I just can’t. So here you go.
