USA Spector NS-2 Bolt On “9 Volt” 4 String Custom Bass Guitar #510

Spector is well known for 2 things: its spectacular NS-2 bass, and the preamp that makes the NS-2 possible, the "9V". This bass incorporates both of those, but at a price that doesn't make you sell your car. 

Lets get straight to it; this bass is special because it is the first-ever Spector Bolt On bass with the 9V preamp that is a cornerstone of the NS-2 neck through basses costing $5,000+. To assist in the tone barrage is a lightweight mahogany body, topped off with a pretty fantastic piece of quilted maple. The high gloss black cherry finish has a deep look to it, and lightly accents the dark mahogany on the back. "9 Volt" is truly a unique, boutique, bass.

The handmade 3 piece rock maple neck has a great feel, with natural matte finish so it still plays nice and smooth. The Pau Ferro is used for the fretboard, which gives you a tonal perfection right between rosewood and ebony. Spector's superior truss rod design that incorporates dual graphite reinforcement rods will ensure that the neck is exactly where you want it, even in a cold Upstate NY winter.

The signature Spector inlays are real mother-of-pearl. Stuart Spector's signature graces the rear of the headstock to really complete the package. This bass is number #510 to come out of his Saugerties, NY workshop. 

Now back to the electronics. USA made EMG PJ pickups bring out the NS-2 tones of this bass. The 9V preamp has 2 band controls with a single volume knob, blend, bass, and treble knobs. Classic, simple, and fantastic. 

The bridge is custom made by Hipshot in the USA, and Gotoh tuners make tuning a breeze. Dunlop strap locks are also installed; Spector thinks of everything!
