A VERY RARE ELECTRIC GUITAR FROM THE MASTER LUTHIER C.P. THORNTON.

As you can see from the other guitars in my collection now on Reverb.com, I have a real affinity for CUSTOM GUITARS FROM TOP LUTHIERS. This is another one. And it is a great one.
NOTE: This is No. 7 of only 13 of these guitars C.P. built by hand in 1990.
I purchased this guitar directly from its original owner who lived in Maine at the time he bought this guitar in 1990.
I had never seen a SOLID BODY ELECTRIC BUILT BY C. P. before this one. Since I bought this one, I have bought THREE MORE-which took another ten years to find them. It is a great playing guitar and has a REAL RICKENBACKER sound and feel. But it also sounds like a Gibson SG some days and a Fender Strat on another day and like a Fender Tele late at night.
A RARE OPPORTUNITY. We could not decide whether to classify this guitar as a COLLECTOR PIECE or a PLAYER PIECE. It’s really both. An unusual combination.
THIS IS A STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL GUITAR. IT IS A PIECE OF ART.

DOM: 1990 Number 7 of 13 built.
STYLE: SINGLE CUT. A lot like the original BARTH and RICKENBACKER SOLID BODY.
NECK: Mahogany NECK THROUGH.
BODY: Mahogany wings with BOOK MATCHED TIGER MAPLE TOP.
BODY FINISH: Transparent deep Blue burst to Purple with Green tinge on neck.
FRETBOARD: INDIAN ROSEWOOD. Very rich.
SCALE: 25 1/2 "
FRETS: 22 Jumbo. Hardly worn at all.
PICKUPS: Seymour Duncan JEFF BECK and ’59 Humbucking.
SWITCH: 3 Way Toggle PUP and Mini Toggle "Coilcut Switch".
CONTROLS: Master Volume and Tone.
BRIDGE: SCHALLER.
TUNERS: GOTOH CLASSIC.
CASE: Hard case in good condition. (Not Original?-came with guitar).
HARDWARE: Black.
OVERALL CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Please look at the photos here to satisfy yourself about it condition. It does have a few nicks, dents, and scratches.
