Up for sale is the historic Sequential Circuits Model 800 Sequencer.
Rather than provide technical specs, I've linked to a YouTube video by Synthesizer Keith. He has done the Model 800 community a HUGE service by posting a series of videos on these, even providing repair advice, etc. Many thanks to him for that. A reprint of the original manual is included in this sale - I've included a couple photos of pages that illustrate how it works, and how some various classic analog synths can be easily connected - pre-MIDI of course. No other accessories are included. The attached power cord appears to be original and is in good shape (US 110v standard plug.)
The flimsy serial number sticker is worn off right where the actual three digit number should be. It was like this when I bought it 10 years ago, and I can't imagine that someone did this intentionally. More likely it was peeled off just from someone lifting it from the back some time in its 41+ year history. There were less than 500 made, so they're ALL rare and special.
I no longer have the analog gear necessary to test this unit, but it worked great when I last hooked it up several years ago. It's been in safe storage ever since. Because I can't verify that everything is working as perfectly as it should today, this sale does allow for returns up to 7 days from the arrival of the unit.
Shipping is free to the United States, international bidders will be required to pay for all actual shipping and additional fees. I would ask that you contact me before clicking the "Buy" button if you are not in the US. Thank you!
