Up for sale is one of my most prized possessions.... my holy grail! Master Grade Brazilian Rosewood Sloped D made by North Carolina Master Luthier Gray Burchette. Pictures do this guitar no justice. This is probably the most beautiful grain of 100% Solid Master Grade Brazilian Rosewood you'll ever lay eyes on in this lifetime... GUARANTEED! This guitar plays like butter & sounds like heaven! If you do not know of Burchette guitars.... please, read up on them & see for yourself... I'll let the reviews do the talking.
I bought this guitar about 7 months ago & a week later, I found out I'm going to be a dad. I've tried everything in the world to be able to hold on to this guitar but the reality is, I can no longer justify owning such a guitar in my financial situation. To put it bluntly, my owning this guitar at this point in my life is no different than living in the projects while driving a Bentley! As much as it KILLS ME, it's time to drive a minivan! I'm about to be a father & my priorities must change....
There are no words I could use to describe this guitar but I'll give it my best. Booming HEAVEN, PERFECTION & LUST! The top is made of 100% solid Carpathian Spruce. Back & sides are made of 100% solid Master Grade Brazilian Rosewood, Mahogany neck, Invisible pickguard, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard & if my memory serves me right, the nut, bridge pins etc... are fossilized walrus tusk or bone... other woods used are Burl Maple, Curly Maple, Mahogany & Eucalyptus wedge. Built in Fishman electronics included.
This guitar is as close to mint as it gets with the exception of a minor ding on the headstock as seen in photo's. Comes with a $450 Ameritage self humidifier case & on board digital thermo hygrometer. Believe me, there was no expense spared building this guitar. The best of the best was used & no doubt, if the name "Martin" was on this guitar, it would be damn close to a $20,000.00 guitar!
Now the bad.... no CITES paperwork! So If you're a traveling guitarist, DO NOT LEAVE THE COUNTRY WITH THIS GUITAR because Brazilian Rosewood is now illegal to import & next to impossible to buy... making this guitar, and any Brazilian Rosewood guitar a solid investment!
I am absolutely heart broken to have to put this guitar up for sale but truth is, I'm a bedroom strummer who spends 90% of my playing time on my electric guitar anyway & now with the baby coming, it's time this guitar is put in the hands of a true player, someone who's going to give this guitar the stage/studio time it deserves... I know first hand Gray Burchette stands behind his work 100% & will work with anyone who owns one of his guitars. When I purchased this guitar, there was a tiny section on the back where the nitrocellulose finish was flaking, so Gray told me to ship the guitar to him & he completely refinished the back AT NO COST to me & I'm the 2nd owner! What other builder would do that? Goes to show you the kind of man Gray Burchette is. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE GRAY'S KINDNESS, HONOR & HUMBLENESS.

I'm reluctant to ship this guitar over seas but if you're a serious buyer & its possible to ship out a Brazilian Rosewood guitar, I'll do it AT THE RISK OF THE BUYER. I Will however, ship using whatever company the buyer wants me to but full insurance is a must & will be included in the cost of shipping.
As always, I am open to offers & will work with you anyway I can. Any questions at all, feel free to message me & I'll get back to you asap. Thank you for your time and consideration.
UPDATE*** Here's some additional information I accidently left out above..... Measurements are 1 & 3/4 at the nut & 2 & 1/4 at the bridge. Also, the sound hole is a Tony Rice sized sound hole. Its larger than the standard dread sized sound hole & it measures at 4 &1/4" This exact guitar can be seen on Gray's website here: Bruchette guitars are among some of the best playing and sounding guitars made today. Mr. Bruchette has built guitars for Zac Brown, Edwin McCain, Paul Thorn, Darrell Scott, Vicki Genfan and many many other well known artist's. Gray Burchette was also commissioned by Luna guitars to build Vicki genfan's personal signature model. Gray only builds a few guitars a year & currently has a long waiting list.
