It supplies 120 W per channel at 8 ohms (or 160 W @ 4 ohms), with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of <0.002% (20 Hz --20 kHz). It features a groundbreaking linear feedback class A circuit. The linear feedback circuit comes from Technics' developments in realizing infinite bare gain, without worsening the phase characteristics of The high frequency range, ideal for a negative feedback amplifier. The VU meters are huge, precise, and gorgeous, and the amp's overall aesthetic is vintage and handsome. Critics remark that the SE-A5 is a highly detailed and “pure” amplifier, absent of distortion in playback. The SE-A5 is beautiful and sounds phenomenal, making it a highly sought-after unit.

It features a class A design which eliminates switching and crossover distortion. The equalizer amplifier has The SU-A6 provides low output impedance by a SEPP buffer amplifier, which allows a wider range of power amps to be used without distortions of the waveform. a dual parallel low-noise FET design, with direct MC connection or MM connection via gain switching. Overall, the SU-A6 sounds fantastic, making it a highly sought-after unit as well.
