Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

Here's a unique and somewhat rarer Shure Brothers mic that you don't see every day. The model SM-60 dynamic microphone set at 150 OHMS. It comes with a long 20 foot cable, original Shure mic clip and carrying case. If you like the sound of the E.V 635A then you'll probably like this mic as well.

Pic # 2 shows this very model and it's basic characteristics.

I believe this is a late 70's early 80's model. The SM-60 was not produced for a very long time but they are very lite and a bit smaller than the standard hand held mic. It's only 6 1/4 inches long X 1 wide at the tip.

The SM-60 series has a very modern, edgy look. It comes with it's stock silver paint scheme. Not sure of the actual color but that's the best I can describe it. This is a high quality dynamic mic with omni-directional characteristics. Possibly a great harp mic due to it's higher pitched sound. Great for general broadcasting as well.

The SM-60 lacks bass even though it's set at 150 OHMS. I have heard 6 of these models and they all sound the same. Very much a higher impedance sounding mic.

As you can see in the pictures provided there are typical signs of wear on the original paint. Scratches and scuff marks on most of the body. The Shure logo that encircles the mic shows very lite wear but completely legible. There are no dents on the front or side grills. Just lite tarnish on the front grill and a new foam inner screen was installed as the old ones always fall apart. Let the pics be your guide please. Mic is 100% complete and solid. No loose parts and the XLR pins were cleaned ensuring a perfect signal.

The 20 foot cable has the male 1/4 inch end connector for use with most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers. Cable shows no wear and functions perfectly. Soft and pliable as well.

Mic comes with an original A57E model mic clip that fits this mic perfectly and it's in pretty good overall condition. The clip grips the mic firmly and provides a wide degree of tilt up and down and will screw onto any desk or floor stand.

The black vinyl Shure mic carrying case is included. It shows no wear and works great for storing your mic when not in actual use. The top zipper works excellent.

Overall a great looking and excellent working mic that's above average for a 30 year old microphone and an easy 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10. Hook this one up and you are ready for just about any live event.
