1931 00-21 Although designated as a 00-21 on the neck block, it was originally set up with flush frets as a slide (Hawaiin) guitar, & then recently converted. Original bar frets shimmed up, & original fret board, which was already radiused. Neck re-set in 2019 along with the conversion to the Spanish set-up. Finish has spider checking & is in good old condition, & is most likely original to the guitar. Beautiful book-matched rosewood back & sides. Original engraved tuners in excellent working condition, with original ivoroid buttons. Scalloped bracing, as one would expect. There is a small area around the fringes of bridge on the bass end, that is discolored, & the rosewood bridge & maple bridge-plate are slightly larger than the original ones, possibly because someone felt the area needed to be reinforced (due to damage incurred?), when the original ones were replaced at some earlier date. Everything is structurally sound, no cracks, no bellying. There is a 1 1/2” scratch in the finish extending from the bass end of the bridge towards the butt of the guitar.

The guitar plays & sounds exceptional, very responsive to the touch, the volume jumps out of the box, & the tone is multi-layered & rich. Ready to be played.
